Dungeness shot on the Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera
Please note. This is graded. This is not flat out of the camera!
Here is some footage I shot in Dungeness, Kent (my favourite location and often used by me) in ProRes HQ for the Blackmagic cinema camera review which you can see here: http://philipbloom.net/2012/09/05/bmd/
One thing I found on this pre-release camera is there is a touch of pink in the highlights when using ProRes HQ. BMD are aware and it will be fixed for release. This doesn't happen in the raw. The ProRes is beautiful. Sharp, flat as hell (very log-c alexa like) and way easier workflow than raw.
Sharpened a tad in post to make it ping and all shot on the internal battery is 2 hours.
Review will be here when it's ready: http://philipbloom.net/?p=27131
Blackmagic Cinema Camera test
First day with my new Blackmagic Cinema Camera, took the camera out of the box and started playing with it just for fun, there's a lot to be learned yet. This camera is an amazing creative tool! The quality of the image and the color flexibility is pretty pretty far away from what you can do with a DSLR, I know there's noise in the shadows, but it's mostly me getting used to this grading process
